Sergiy Trymbach,
Head of Screenwriters group
An accomplished film critic, film historian, and screenwriter, Trymbach is the author of many books about Ukrainian and world cinematography, and numerous articles and reviews in leading Ukrainian and Russian media outlets. He has written numerous documentary films ( “It’s Hard for the First 100 Years” (1997), “The Tale about Boryslav” (1998), “Bohdan Stupka. Lviv Chronics” (1999), “The Heavenly Love” (2001), “The Eternal Christ” (2002), “Dangerously Free Person” (2005) and others. In 1990-1993 and 1996-2005 he held the position of the Secretary of the Executive committee of the National Union of Cinematographers of Ukraine. Since 1994 he has been President of the Film Critics Association of the same Union. He is currently the Head of the Film History department in the Institute of Fine Art, Study of Folklore and Ethnology of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. He recently published “Oleksandr Dovzhenko, The Death of the Gods: the Author’s Identification in National Time and Space” (2007) which received the State Oleksandr Dovzhenko Prize (2008).

Victoria Bondar,
Screenwriter, producer
Bondar graduated from the school of journalism of State Taras Shevchenko University in 1972. Since 1973 she has worked as journalist, editor, and TV hostess in the Central Editorial office of film programs of State TV&Radio Committee. From 1978 to 1986 she worked at the monthly TV series, “Resonance”, which covered the research and recent achievements of Ukrainian scientists. “Resonance” was also broadcast on Central TV as part of the series “Beyond Belief”. In 1986-87, she worked on the program “Social Lessons,” about educational problems. She was also the author of the series “Cinema News” and “Cinemamosaic”.
In 1987-1993 Bondar held the position of Editor in Chief at the “Ukrkinohronika” studio.
In 1992 she participated in a Canadian professional training program at CBC, TV Ontario, and Channel 47 (Toronto).
In 1996, she was story editor of the TV series “10 Years of Alienation” (“Internews – Vikna”).
She was also story editor of the documentary “Terra Vermelha. The Red Land” (2000) and the documentary series “War, the Ukrainian Account” (Channel 1+1, 2002).
From 1994 to 2003 she worked as public relations manager for Motorola in Ukraine.
From 2003 to 2005 she worked as PR manager for British American Tobacco in Ukraine.
In 2005-2006, she was project coordinator for the documentary “Spell Your Name” (USC Shoah Foundation Institute, Los Angeles).
Bondar has been a member of Journalist Union of Ukraine since 1980.
Bondar was also the screenwriter of the documentaries “The Hyphen” (director Sergiy Bukovsky), “Steps of Democracy” (director Georgiy Shkliarevsky), “Portrait. Landscape. Still Life” (director Sergiy Bukovsky) and several other award-winning films.
She is married to film director Sergiy Bukovsky.
Her daughter Katia Scanlan is magazine editor, and lives in Washington, DC.

Yevheniya Kravchuk (Khudzik),
Screenwriter, line producer
Born in 1985 in Ternopil, Ukraine to a family of doctors. Kravchuk graduated with honors from gymnasium “Ridna Shkola” in Chortkiv, in the Ternopil region. In 2001-2002 she participated in the FLEX exchange program (Future Leaders Exchange Program) and finished her senior year at Westminster High School (MD, USA) with top marks. She entered the Institute of Journalism at Kiev National Taras Shevchenko University, and received a BA in 2007 with honors. At present she is getting an MA degree at the Institute of Journalism.
Kravchuk has worked for various TV Channels since her first year in university: ICTV, the TV Agency “Vikna”, and the First National TV Channel. In 2006, she worked as an assistant director on Sergiy Bukovsky’s documentary “Spell Your Name”. Since the end of 2007, she is a journalist and line producer at “Lystopad Film” studio.
